Expination's Tools

Expination's Tools is a large mod for the Steam game People Playground by zooi.
It adds a huge variety of items, QOL changes, new features, and tweaks—most of which can be toggled.

Currently in beta: version 1.8.6.0

Currently Implemented Global Features

Global Radioactivity System
- Acute radiation poisoning
- Irradiated machinery can malfunction
- Produce energy via radiation
Firearm Performance Changes
- New bullet tracer visuals and colors
- Change cartridge by bringing 'Ammunition' objects to a firearm
- Works with modded firearms
New Original Map
- Nuclear Reactor using the radiation system with high customizability
- Ability to produce negative Charge
- Freezer room, nuclear waste pond, and multiple environmental hazards

Tweaks

Visual Tweaks to Game UI
- Mouse pointer changes icon when hovering over buttons
- Detail view's limb statuses have adjusted colors and width (can be toggled)
- Selecting objects with detail view turned on lets you see the object's position and angle
Visual Tweaks to Blood
- Bleeding particles are adjusted to look less subtle
- Blood decals are adjusted to be more dense (might decrease performance)
- Blood sounds are adjusted to be slightly more frequent
Minor Tweaks to existing Items
- Ion Cannon, Atom Bomb, Fusion Bomb now have minor radioactive properties

Other Cool Stuff

- 6 new living entities, 4 of which has enhanced gore, includes a rework of the gore system from People Playground before the 1.23 update - firearms 'SPAS-12, Serbu Super Shorty, Double Barrel, Remington-700, M2.50 Caliber, Punt Gun, Lever-action Rifle, STD-44, H&K MP7, AKS-74u, FAMAS'
... have special properties such as foldable/collapsible stocks/grips, delayed firing from the type of weapon, burst fire, and some other gimmicky stuff
- 3 new special types of items 'Canvas, Paper, Chalkboard' lets you draw on them by holding your activation key
... the context menu lets you change your color and erase on it, they also properly save in contraptions, the 'Canvas' item lets you make the background transparent (making custom items 👀)
- 13 new destructible building items 'Wooden Support Beam (small-medium-large), Wooden Crate (medium-large), Ducrete Brick/Stairs, Toilet, Supply Crate (health/firearms/ammo/electronics)' - notable items 'Hand Of Midas, Molotov Cocktail, C4, Geiger Counter, Fine Nitroglycerin, Acidpopper, Terraprisma, Nunchucks, Toilet, Supply Crate(s)'
